Manager - Pharmacy - Pharmaceutical Services

JOB SUMMARY Manages pharmacy operations and services in accordance with regulations and laws; oversees the compounding and dispensing of prescribed drugs, pharmacy budgets, drug inventories, drug and workplace safety and personnel. Establishes strategic objectives for the department; implements plans and oversees pharmacy operations in accordance with regulations and laws. Supervises and develops high quality customer service and provides drug consultation services; maintains relationships with clinic staff and clients. Supervises pharmacists, technicians and clerical personnel and evaluates job performance; provides a safe work environment. Develops drug purchasing standards and systems; supervises drug inventory control and assists with budget reports. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Provides technical consultation, guidance and oversight for pharmacy operations. Assesses departmental staffing needs; actively participates in resourcing efforts. Participates in developing and monitoring a budget for a specific work group or department. Leads the team to deal with, respond to and actively seek changes and innovative opportunities. Integrates emerging industry best practices into current working processes. Develops a knowledge sharing environment which allows employees to make known the challenges they are facing and obtain appropriate support. Develops a culture in which all members work constructively to improve the performance of individuals and the team. Adjusts management and personal style to fit the needs of different people and different situations. QUALIFICATIONS License must be in good standing by the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; 5+ years of experience preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of drugs and their actions; knowledge of state and local regulations. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
